Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical)Essential Qualifications:Candidates must fulfil either of the following requirements:- First-class postgraduate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university, including integrated postgraduate degrees; or- Second-class postgraduate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology, including integrated postgraduate degrees, along with a completed PhD.Desirable Qualifications:- For candidates with an M.Sc. degree, at least three years of work experience in a medical microbiology laboratory is required.- At least two years of research and development experience in a recognised Microbiology/Biotechnology laboratory, particularly in molecular and immunological work.- Research publications in indexed journals.Note: A PhD in a relevant subject will be treated as equivalent to three years of experience.2. Project Technical Support IIIEssential Qualifications:Candidates must possess either:- A three-year graduate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology with three years of experience; or- A postgraduate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology.Desirable Qualifications:- A postgraduate degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology will be preferred.- Three years of experience working in a microbiology laboratory, along with computer knowledge.Important Instructions for Candidates- Candidates already working or engaged in another project or DHR scheme must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority or organisation.- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.- Candidates who do not meet the essential qualification requirements should not apply.- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government rules.- The appointment will remain temporary and co-terminus with the project.Recruitment Authority: Department of Microbiology, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, Assam.Candidates should carefully check their eligibility and prepare the required educational and experience documents before attending the walk-in interview.
